Attendee privacy and erasing an attendee
What Attensa keeps about the people who attend your meetings, and how to permanently erase one attendee when they ask.
Updated
On this page
Attendance records include people who are not Attensa users. For each, Attensa keeps their display name, their email address and photo where Google provides them, and when they joined and left. Your workspace decides what to import and keep, so it is responsible for having a reason to hold these records, for example school or course attendance.
Who can see attendee data
Only members of your workspace. Attensa staff cannot open your workspace unless you approve a time-limited support access request. See Who can see your data.
Erase an attendee
When someone asks to be forgotten, the owner or an administrator can erase them:
- Open Settings, then Account & permissions, and find Privacy & your data.
- Under Erase an attendee, enter the attendee’s email address.
- Choose Erase and confirm.
Where to find it: Settings then Account & permissions then Privacy & your data then Erase an attendee
Attensa removes that person’s attendance records and certificates from every meeting in the workspace, and tells you how many it erased. Future Google syncs skip them, so they are not imported again. This is permanent.
Important
Erasing cannot be undone, and it also removes the attendee’s certificates, so their verification pages stop working.
Note
The form works from an email address. If an attendee has no email on record (“Email not shared by Google”), contact us from the support window and we will help.
To remove a whole workspace or account instead, see Delete a workspace or your account.
