Your first sync, and importing older meetings
How Attensa imports meetings, why Google Meet exposes only 30 days, and how a Workspace administrator can import up to about six months of history.

The first sync
Your first import starts as soon as Google is connected. A banner reads Building the latest session record from Google while it runs, and the Overview page shows Importing. Afterwards:
- Attensa syncs connected workspaces automatically, about once a day, and again whenever the person who connected Google signs in.
- The owner or an administrator can sync at once with Sync now (on Meetings and Integrations) or Refresh evidence (on the Overview).
- Meetings appear after they end. A meeting still in progress is not complete yet.
The 30-day Google Meet window
Attensa reads attendance through Google’s Meet API, and Google deletes Meet records about 30 days after a meeting ends. So a regular sync can only reach the last 30 days. Everything Attensa has already imported stays in your workspace after Google removes its own copy.
Tip
Connect Google before your first class, not after. Attendance is only recoverable for as long as Google keeps it.
Importing older meetings (Workspace administrators)
Google Workspace also keeps Meet audit events for about six months. If your Google account is a Google Workspace administrator with access to Reports, Attensa can rebuild older meetings from that log.
- Open Integrations. On Pro and Enterprise you will see Full available Google history.
- Choose Import older meetings. Google asks for one extra read-only permission, to view audit reports.
- Approve it. The import runs in the background and the card shows when it last finished. Use Import again to refresh it.
Where to find it: Integrations then Full available Google history then Import older meetings
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Who can use it? | A Google Workspace administrator account with Reports access. Personal Gmail accounts cannot. |
| How far back? | As far back as Google keeps Meet audit events, currently about 6 months. |
| Which meetings? | Only meetings organized by the connected Google account. |
| Which plans? | Pro and Enterprise. On Basic the card invites you to compare plans. |
Note
If Google answers that the account is not authorized, the connected account is not an administrator with Reports access. See History import says “not authorized”.
What your plan shows
Basic shows a short, rolling window of recent meetings and has a monthly meeting allowance. Older or over-allowance meetings are kept, and shown again when you upgrade. Pro and Enterprise show everything imported. See Why only recent meetings appear on Basic.
