What Attensa is and how it works
Attensa turns Google Meet sessions into attendance evidence: meetings, people, sessions, certificates, and reports, with no bot or browser extension.
Updated
On this page
Attensa reads attendance from your Google account after your meetings end. For every meeting you organized it records who joined, when they joined and left, and how long they stayed. You then review the record, export it, and issue verifiable certificates.
The words you will see in the app
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Meetings | One Google Meet record. Attensa matches it to the Google Calendar event, when there is one, to give it its real title. |
| People | Everyone who has appeared in your meetings, with their totals across meetings. Open a person to see their attendance history. |
| Sessions | A series of meetings that belong together, such as a weekly class. The Sessions page shows a class register for each series. |
| Join/leave sessions | Each time a person entered and left a meeting. Someone who dropped out and came back has two. |
| Certificates | Attendance certificates you issue to people who met an attendance threshold. Anyone can check one on the verification page. |
| Reports | CSV and PDF exports of a meeting or of one person’s attendance history. |
How a typical week looks
- Sign in with Google and approve the read-only permissions Attensa asks for.
- Hold your classes or meetings in Google Meet as usual.
- After a meeting ends, Attensa imports it automatically, or you press Sync now.
- Open Meetings to review who attended and for how long.
- Export a report, or issue certificates to everyone who met your threshold.
What Attensa does not do
- It never accesses meeting audio, video, recordings, chat, or transcripts.
- It never changes anything in your Google account: it does not create or edit events, contacts, or meetings.
- It does not need a meeting bot or a browser extension. You sign in with Google and Attensa reads attendance from your Google account.
- It records only meetings organized by the Google account that connected the workspace.
